CEE-SECR 2009 Paper Submission Deadline Extended to September 12

As of August 8, authors from 10 countries have submitted 99 regular papers to be considered for inclusion into the final CEE-SECR 2009 program. This is rather good number: last year we finally got only 62 regular papers submitted. However, July and August are traditional vacation months in the most of CEE countries, so some potential authors have asked Program Committee to extend the submission deadline.

The new submission deadline is set on September 12. This is the last extension – submission deadline will not be extended anymore, so we encourage all potential speakers to plan accordingly. Program Committee will not accept any new submissions after September 12.

Author notification deadline was initially set on September 1. Now we are shifting it to September 25. However, Program Committee starts reviewing already submitted papers, and plans to accept some 20-30 very best of them by September 1.

Please, tell your friends and colleagues about the deadline extension. Speakers (presenting authors of the accepted papers) get free passes to the event. To read about submission process and requirements, visit www.cee-secr.org/submission

We are looking forward to see you on October 27-29 in Moscow at the CEE-SECR 2009.

CEE-SECR 2009 announces the extension of Paper Submission Deadline to August 7, 2009

CEE-SECR 2009 announces the extension of Paper Submission Deadline to August 7, 2009.

Initial Paper Submission Deadline was set to June 30. Authors from 5 countries have submitted over 50 articles before this deadline. 39% of articles were submitted to the “Platforms and Technology” track, which indicates strong community interest on practical aspects of software engineering. The second popular track is “Software Process Management” (24% of submitted articles), which reflect the overall demand for more efficient management practices.

During the last weeks of June we received numerous requests to extend the submission deadline, so that more authors can get a chance to present at CEE-SECR 2009. The new deadline is set on August 7. We encourage practitioners and researchers from CEE countries to submit their experience reports and research papers. To read about submission rules, visit http://www.cee-secr.org/submission. Official Call for Paper is available here: /docs/cee-secr-2009-cfp-2-eng.pdf. Speakers (presenting authors of the accepted papers) get free passes to the event.

Last year the acceptance rate was about 60%, this year Program Committee set the target of 50% acceptance rate, which means even better quality of the final conference program. Please, tell your friends and colleagues about the deadline extension. We are looking forward to see you on October 27-29 in Moscow at the CEE-SECR 2009.
