Case Study: Information-analytical system implementation in the West-Urals regional bank of Russian Savings bank |

Abstract
This Case study describes key characteristics of automated information-analytical system, developed by PROGNOZ company for the West-Urals regional bank of Russian Savings bank. For the period of 2005-2009 the automated system grew to integrate 10 analytical units and to provide common analytical space for activity of more than 2000 users. Technologically the system is based on Oracle 10g, Microsoft IIS on the application server side, and Analytical Suite PROGNOZ as a BI platform. Advantages of implementing the integrated analytical system for the bank with many branches and complex organizational structure include: possibility to lower number of inquiries to business transactional software; possibility to consolidate data from various sources; “economy of scale” in organizing information work-flow etc. Keywords: Large scale decision support systems in banking; Business intelligence; Analytical systems implementation effect. |
